Kate Chruscicka is an incredibly talented musician who’s been playing the violin for over eighteen years. Her main inspiration is Vanessa Mae, but Kate has developed a fusion of classical and contemporary styles which is truly her own.
From accompanying large orchestras to standing out with solo performances, she has entertained and entranced audiences the world over.
Kate’s natural ability became apparent from her first notes on a violin at the age of six. Ever since, she has dedicated herself to mastering the artistry of her beloved instrument.
In 2008 Kate graduated with distinction in solo violin performance from ZPSM (a specialist classical music school in Poland). She was mentored by several Eastern European tutors, completing masterclasses from such accomplished professors as Mieczyslaw Szlezer (Krakow) and Lukas David (Cologne).
At only sixteen years of age, Kate ventured to the UK to study at the School of Music, University of Leeds. She thrived under the tutelage of Raimonda Koço and Leland Chen. In 2011, she earned an Honours BA Mus with a 2:1. What’s more, she regularly performed as the co-leader of the first violin section with the University’s Philharmonic Orchestra and received the Toothill Performance Award and the Blanche L. Leigh Award (twice).
Kate’s academic dedication culminated with a Masters Degree in solo violin performance from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She spent two intensive years studying under Miranda Playfair (co-leader of Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra) and Leland Chen (Yehudi Menuhin’s pupil).
Subsequent to her scholastic achievements, Kate has enjoyed recording two studio albums. The Violinist(2009) which sold over 4,000 copies worldwide and My Classical Interpretations which features tracks that have been broadcast on the BBC and used for programmes on ITV. Kate has also performed live on TV and radio.
Another success for Kate has been the ever-increasing popularity of her website and youtube channel. Millions have logged on to buy her exclusive singles, and to delight in her diverse interpretations of classical gems and modern hits.
Whether playing her custom-made classical instrument, or her clear, Ted Brewer Vivo 2 electric violin, Kate can entertain any audience. She regularly wows crowds at weddings, small private parties, and major corporate events.
Kate was awarded Best Music and Entertainment. She’s added an essential touch of elegance to wedding ceremonies and receptions across the world.
She has performed in front of many prestigious corporate clients including Land Rover, Apple, House of Fraser and Heineken to name a few. Note-worthy UK shows include The European Watch of the Year Awards at the May Fair Hotel, the West Yorkshire Police Awards Ceremony at Royal Armouries. Kate has also had the pleasure of performing at Chatsworth House, Sledmere House, Bolover Castle, Allerton Castle, Ripon Cathedral, and the York Minster.
One of Kate’s most acclaimed performances was during the ball, Once Upon a Smile, alongside the Pop singer Lemar and the band Mend. It was another testament to her immense talent—as well as her open-minded approach to crossing genres and teaming with other artists to make beautiful music.
