Anthony Costa is famed as a talented singer and songwriter, who was formerly a member of Blue boyband. Making his fame as part of the R&B and pop boyband, Anthony has also enjoyed a solo singing career and had various roles as an actor in musicals. Having peaked at No.1 on the UK Charts on numerous occasions and represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, Anthony continues to be booked for a variety of concerts, festivals, corporate and private events today!
Before reaching the heights of fame as a member of Blue, Anthony was an actor in the sitcom Chalk and the children’s drama Grange Hill. In the early 2000s, Anthony formed the group Blue with friends Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. Releasing their first single in 2001, All Rise earned Blue the No.4 spot on the UK Charts. They then went on to release the single Too Close, which peaked at No.1 on the UK Charts, and claimed their second No.1 with If You Come Back. Commercially successful in locations such as Portugal, France, Ireland and Italy to name but a few, Blue later released the album All Rise, which sold an impressive 1.8 million copies.
After many successful hits with Blue, Anthony began to focus his interests on his solo career, television and musicals. In 2006, Anthony released his debut solo single Do You Ever Think Of Me, peaking at No.19 on the UK Singles Chart. Impressing with his solo musical talents, Anthony also competed in the Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up competition and was a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2005. An avid musical actor, Anthony has also appeared as Mickey in Blood Brothers, on the 10th Anniversary Tour of Boogie Nights, as Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk, as Cal in Popstar: The Musical and Milton in Save The Last Dance For Me. Reuniting with Blue in 2011, Anthony represented the UK in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, placing 11th.
Having also been a part of The Big Reunion tour, Anthony continues to tour the globe performing his stellar vocals.
